Join us for a cookery demonstration and food tasting. Jo Elliott will give recipes and ideas for saving time and effort providing tasty and nourishing food.

Growing Herb and Salad Plants
Wednesday 28th February 2007 1pm to 3pm at Loxley Hall, Hope, Hope Valley

Find out how to plant up and look after decorative edible plants for pots or garden beds. A hands on session with plant pots and compost, led by experienced gardener Vanessa Swetman of College of the Peak. .

Celebrate International Women’s Day
10.30am to 4pm Saturday March 10th 2007 at Manifold School Warslow

The Amethyst Project and LEADER+ Gateway Through the Arts invite Rural Women of Derbyshire and Staffordshire to Celebrate International Women’s Day

International Women’s Day marks the anniversary of women striking for votes and equal pay in New York in 1907 and 1908. Women around the world get together to celebrate progress and to remember the contributions made to our present status by women in times gone by.

Our Peak District event focuses on Food, Life, Energy

Sessions on:
Tease and spin - traditional wool production
Growing herbs and salads
Best foods for health at any phase of life
Dance – choose ‘creative dance fitness’ or ‘strictly for fun Latin’

No previous experience required for any of the activitie.
Also: information stands, creche for under-5s, and lunch.

COST FROM £2.00 TO £20.00 - includes food and drinks.
SLIDING SCALE - pay what you can afford.

Event open to all women. Wheelchair accessible venue. Let us know if you have any support needs that we may be able to help with, such as childcare or transport.
